We have been doing everything, BUT sleeping. The days and months are flying by. My apologies for not blogging recently. The days and nights seem to be getting away from me.
We have projects galore! Science Showcase will be here before we know it. On April 2, Students from across Fifth grade will be presenting their science experiment and presentation posters. If your student has not been getting together with their partner or have not started it, please don't wait. If your student needs guidance or any support, reach out and contact me as soon as possible.
In science, students are also working with partners on a project called
Mighty Minerals Each groups was assigned a mineral to research and present to the class next Tuesday. This is part of our Rocks and Minerals unit.
In Social Studies the students just completed a poster about one of the 13 colonies. The Chapter 7 test will be on Monday.
Next week is English Language Arts MCAS. On Wednesday and Thursday the students will spend their morning taking the assessment. We have been preparing and practicing our writing all year. I have faith and confidence that all the narrative writing, literacy letters and research writing projects have prepared the students.
I am counting the days down til Spring. I can't wait for the students to be able to go outside for recess and perhaps a walk in the woods again.
Have a great day.
