If your house is anything like mine, it seems every surface is covered with holiday reminders. The opening of holiday cards from friends and family are always a daily treat at our house. I truly love this time of year and all the promises the new year has to offer.
We are planning a busy week. The students are finishing their Kamishibai. I am excited to hear their stories. They will be sharing them on Thursday. They have been learning and applying many story elements; characterization, setting, dialogue, leads, transition, visualization and descriptive writing. I know all their hard work has paid off.
On Wednesday students will be having a geometry unit test. Students will be wrapping up the Colombian Exchange in Social Studies and finishing our mini unit on Soils in Science.
We are planning holiday festivities on Friday. Look for a permission slip for a movie on Friday and the necessary donations for a holiday party.
The students report cards will be available on Iparent this Tuesday. If you have an technical problems please call the main office.
I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday and a happy new year.
