As you can tell students will be working hard each week to complete state testing, but there will be fun and engaging events too. Students will be preparing for the Aloha Frog Revolutionary play, designing and creating catapults in science, and researching individual topics for Science Showcase on June 6th.
I am so proud my students. Their disaster projects were so impressive and their ability to manage new technology is wonderful. We are currently working on various persuasive essays and many smaller engaging writing assignments. Students are getting close to their goal for DEAR books. We have earned enough “tickets” that soon we will be planning a celebration.
This time of year is a special time for me to reflect. I love to look back on my student’s progress, the community of friends we have built and wonderful relationships I have fostered. It will be difficult to see them move on to sixth grade.
