We had a busy week. In math we were multiplying fractions in word problems. In science we started learning a new topic on Layers of Earth. In social studies we had a test about the thirteen colonies. In ELA  we started to look at poems and studying and reading for the MCAS. In gym we wrapped up an unit of Badminton. In art we are continuing to make are books. In Technology we we are still continuing to make a game on scratch.

Have a snowy and a good good weekend

It has been another week. In Science we are learning about concentrated finding a liquids density.  We layered 4 liquids with different densities to prove our point. In Social Studies we are finishing the graphic organizer for the thirteen colonies. Together in groups we are researching a particular colony and sharing what we learned about their economy, government, geography and the reason colonist came to settle there. Math continue to learn fraction and our new app Impoppable.  In ELA we finished our Disaster Project essays and working with our groups to create electronic books.  We are going to share with the class information we learned about our disasters. 

This week we also had our penny drive in preparation for Bingo Night next Thursday March 16th.  We also had our spring pictures taken.  We continue to celebrate "March Madness" All the teachers on the team dressed up like Mr. Gildea for imitate a teacher day.  Yesterday teacher's dressed up like their favorite book character.  Today teachers and students were asked to wear emoji's.  Let's have a great long weekend.
